Comprehensive Electronic Health Insurance System
As part of the digital transformation of the health insurance sector and the improvement of service delivery mechanisms, **Homitex** developed the **”Health Insurance System”**—a fully integrated software solution designed to serve the two main stakeholders in the insurance process:
* Health insurance staff and administrators
* Subscribers enrolled in the system
The project aims to overcome challenges related to traditional paper-based processes such as file loss, slow data retrieval, security risks, and human error accumulation. This was achieved through the development of a web platform and mobile application that deliver a complete digital insurance experience.
Project Implementation Phases:
* In-depth analysis of the legacy paper-based system through field meetings with health insurance employees and a review of archived records dating back to 2017.
* Data migration from the old system into a modern, scalable database.
* Construction of a flexible and secure database supporting advanced querying, data entry, editing, and deletion.
* User interface design was conducted in direct collaboration with staff to ensure ease of use and precise alignment with workflow requirements.
* Integration of front-end interfaces with back-end processes to provide a seamless and secure operational experience.
Web Portal Features (for Staff & Administrators):
* Secure and organized storage of all subscriber data.
* Calculation and adjustment of premiums based on insurance status.
* Display of insurance history, subscription years, and usage records.
* Full digital management of claims and invoices to accelerate processing.
* Advanced queries for quick access to financial, personal, and historical data.
* Regular reports and analytics to support decision-making and performance improvement.
* Enhanced security features to protect data and user privacy.
* Comprehensive technical support ensuring system continuity.
Mobile App Features (for Subscribers):
* Display of insurance status and coverage details.
* Track insurance card status and validity.
* View outstanding premiums and receive related alerts.
* Stay informed about policy updates and new terms.
* Access a list of contracted hospitals with contact details.
* Receive regular notifications and alerts (appointments, renewals, changes, etc.).
Thanks to this project, the health insurance process has become more transparent, accurate, and efficient—significantly improving the user experience for subscribers and enhancing the administrative and technical performance of insurance institutions. The system now serves as a reliable reference point for future developments in insurance and healthcare services.
